Coir Matting/Soil Stabilization Matting
For use in Filtration, Separation, Drainage, Reinforcement & Erosion Control
Coir Fiber or Soil Stabilization matting is a woven matting with a different mesh size that has high tensile strength, water absorption capabilities (it can hold up to 3 times its own weight), and can arrest run-off top soil.
Completely Biodegradable
Coir Fiber Matting is biodegradable and gets completely degraded in 3 to 5 years. Its unique properties include:

-
Greater strength
-
Prevention of erosion in slopes
-
Helps natural vegetation take root
High Water retention
Coir Fiber Matting can be used on ski slopes, and as a bottom reinforcing material in watercourses. Coir has good properties for underwater usage. There, the natural degradation is considerably slower since microorganisms are generally less active.
Types of Coir Fiber Matting
Applications of lower density grades
Coir 400
The lighter grades of coir fiber matting are suitable for prompt erosion control of all kinds of green areas. The netting can also be used in places like garbage dumps and mining areas, where land changes shape frequently.
Coir 700
Applications of higher density grades
Coir 900
For generations, the great strength of higher density grade coir fiber has been the primary cause for rope manufacture. Coir fiber is one of the most lignin-rich natural fibres, and an excellent low-cost adsorbent alternative.
Coir 1000
Places where Coir Fiber Matting can be effectively used
Garbage Dumps
Mining sites
Slopes or Embankments
